NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES FEATURING THE OVERWATCH COLLECTIVE WITH TRICIA SERFAS

A former fire cadet, police dispatcher, fire dispatcher and EMT who also worked as an ER nurse at a Trauma hospital for 17 years, Tricia Serfas has lived her entire life as a first responder.  While she always felt immense pride at being of service, it also took an immense toll on her over time. Her training more than equipped her to take care of others, however, she had to learn the tools to take care of herself. And even more importantly, give herself the opportunity to do that. It took a series of traumatic incidents to push her to the point where she had no choice. If she wanted to continue to live, she had to make some changes. Tricia’s story is a remarkable one of resilience and courage.  And thanks to our friends at The Overwatch Collective, you all get to hear it! Trust us when we say that Tricia is a hero for all that she’s done and continues to do.  We hope that you see the sacrifices our first responders make to keep us safe and healthy and that you’ll never take their service for granted. And be there to help them should they need it.
